    It gets the job done. It does require some work to assemble. It also squeaks. The electronics are no frills but give you what you need. If you want an inexpensive Stamina 1205 rower, I recommend it.

    I bounce between two different cities and states for business and have a different model Stamina rowing machine in one location. I thought for the ease of a workout, I would get a rowing machine for each city. I was initially very excited to receive the model and get started with it.

    Out of the box, I thought that the directions were poorly written, but not too difficult to figure out. I got the machine assembled and tried to use it--well, that was a mistake. The left piston was so tight that on the lowest setting it took me using both arms and all 200 lbs of my body weight just to get it to move at all.

    I know other reviews have mentioned replacing one of the pistons. However, for me, I am looking for a product that works right out of the box. It speaks to very poor quality control to have pistons that are so entirely different in how they operate that I would rather scrap the whole order (a first for me in my years buying through Amazon).

    I will come back and update my review once I decide what else I will get and have a suitable comparison.

    Until that time, I would advise anyone looking for a hassle-free rowing machine to look somewhere else for Stamina 1205.

    This rowing machine does not work well for super heavy people. There is a weight limit on it, so pay attention to that before you buy it. Maximum weight is a bit lower than what product claims... Personally, I would not recommend it for use by anyone near 200 pounds. Perhaps 170 is a better maximum.
