   I bought Stamina 1050 rower initially for me to use for one-legged rowing after foot surgery. I had tried out rowing with one-leg before on a concept II rower at my gym, so I knew it was feasible, and I wasn't going to be able to walk, cycle, run, or use the elliptical, so I knew this was my only option to remain relatively in shape while recovering. Anyway, this cute little rower is perfect. It fits great in my tiny apartment, where I have a small workout area set up, and one-legged rowing worked out great with this, I just fit my good foot into the foot strap and let my 'chopped-up' foot rest on the ground and slide along the floor. I've had this machine for 3 weeks now, and am also 3 weeks post-op, and I have used it nearly every day since my surgery. It not only kept my good leg/upper body in shape, but now I am even able to row with two legs and it is more comfortable IMO than the more expensive conceptII rowers, especially with the rowing motion. I think this may have been one of my most wise investments, and I have not encountered any of the other problems other reviewers had stated. I highly recommend this for anyone who is on a budget/cramped for space, and wants a good piece of equipment to maintain fitness.

   this amazing machine came via fed ex yesterday. my 10 year old daughter and i were able to assemble it quickly without any drama! the construction is good and the monitor is easy to read while using the machine. it is really a great value for the price. my only concern is how the plastic pedals are going to hold up and if the velcro will last. time will tell.

   
   

4. Cheap pedals

   I've only owned this two weeks (got it second hand from a friend who'd never used it) and the pedals are already on the verge of breaking. Unbelieveably cheap. Glad I got it for free because I wouldn't pay for this product.

   
   

5. Easy assembly; great work-out

   I have owned this for a month now. It is a very good exercise machine - simple and effective. I haven't observed the noise that some other reviewers have complained about. I don't really look at the displays, but they seem to be good.
   
   The machine works great for my height (5' 8"), but I can see that it can accommodate someone much taller than me. Only minor annoyance is the foot rest (or foot hold, or whatever you call it). It doesn't hold your feet that well, but once you get the flow of rowing, it is not a big deal. I read a review by someone who added a clamp at the bottom to keep the feet in place. Mine came with a half-inch projection at the bottom. It helps a bit.
